Augustina Mary Kirby

Augustina Mary Gonzales Kirby, age 92, of Manor, passed into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX. She was born in Leander, TX on August 28, 1922 to parents, Isidro and Petra Gonzales. Augustina was a homemaker most of her life and is a devout Catholic and a beloved mother & grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tohmas Gonzales; her sisters Angelina and Louise; her husband John Kirby; her grandson, Lucas Baker; and son-in law, Bob Hicks.

Augustina is survived by her four children, Alice Harrington and her husband, Melvin of Manor, TX; Valerie Hicks of Dale, TX; Winston Kirby and wife, Regina of Austin, TX and Gary Kirby and wife, Kara of Round Rock, TX; a sister, Cecilia Castillo and her husband, Zaragoca of Austin, TX; brothers Jimmy Gonzalez and wife, Ramona of Austin, TX and Jessie Gonzales of Austin, TX; eight grandchildren, Dwayne & wife, Leslie; Kevin & wife, Atecia; John(Leo), Alysa, Hollis, Jessica, Chris, and Fallon and husband, Kelsey; ten great-grandchildren, Brock, Elin, Jacob, Justen, Brenden, Ethan, Jasmine, Hannah, Ashtynn, Aiden and Danica: and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm, with a 7:00 pm Rosary at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Augustina on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Luis King-France Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Road Austin, TX 78757. Burial will follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery, Pflugerville, TX.
