I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of my dear friend Vasanth. Losing a close friend and a roommate with whom I shared so many meaningful memories like playing games together, attending church etc. is truly heartbreaking. He had a dynamic personality and motivating energy that really inspired me. There were times we spent encouraging one another in God's Word.  His zeal and  boldness helped us to conduct Bible studies in Guntur. Those cherished moments of joy, laughter and faith will always remain a part of mine. Though I miss him, I find solace in knowing that my friend is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father, where there is no pain or suffering, only eternal love and joy. 
            I pray that God's presence brings comfort and peace to the family during this time of grief. Let us lean on His strength and the hope of being reunited in His glorious kingdom.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
For over a decade, our fellowship with beloved Brother Vasanth and his family has been a testament to walking in the light, sharing in the Word and prayer together. Brother Vasanth exemplified humility and devotion, embodying the call to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and to meditate on God's Word day and night. His cheerful and willing obedience to the Lord was evident in all his ways.
A generous soul, he lived out the truth that "whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully" (2 Corinthians 9:6). His support for mission work across the United States, India, and beyond reflected his commitment to the Great Commission. A couple of years ago, I attended his online Saturday and Sunday services, where he delved deeply into the Word of God, sometimes conducting three to four services over the weekends. He loved the Lord, his family, and the church deeply, setting an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.
During our time in Portland, our evening walks together were not just physical journeys but spiritual ones, beginning and ending with prayer, and filled with discussions on Scripture, embodying the essence of fellowship. Our families shared countless weekends in prayer meetings and fellowship, strengthening our bonds in Christ. Brother Vasanth and Sister Raja Kumari fervently prayed for us, embodying the exhortation to "pray for one another."
In his passing to be with our Lord, we feel the loss of a true friend, a servant of God, and a contemporary role model in faith and deeds. Yet, we hold onto the blessed hope that we will meet him again on the other shore, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.

To Sister Raja Kumari, Sam, and Susan, know that you are continually in our prayers. We stand with you, trusting that "the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish

Dear sis. Raj kumari, Samy, and Susan,

We express our deepest condolences and share in your grief (at this moment) with the loss of our dear brother Vasanth. He is safe now, free from pain and suffering and resting forever in peace and in the presence of our Lord.

Brother Vasanth and I used to meet on Saturday mornings in a coffee shop  with a couple other brothers for a time of fellowship. 

We enjoyed rich fellowship for over a period of two year period. I particularly remember one such meeting in Starbucks near QFC when we discussed in length on Colossians 1:9-14 verses. Brother Vasanth passionately shared his study on verses 9 and 13, writing on a brown tissue paper that was on the table.

We were really shocked when we were made aware of brother Vasanth’s health condition and that he is on a life support last Saturday on March 15th. Since then we have been praying for brother’s recovery along with many others. 
But it pleased God to call our brother home, to be with the Lord forever. 
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15.

While we grieve with you for the loss of our dear brother, but is a great gain in heaven. We encourage ourselves (as you do also) in the hope of resurrection (John 11-25) and that we will meet him one day. It’s just a matter of time (God’s).

We have been praying for you all, sister Rajkumari, Samy and Susan and will continue to.

We are sorry for we are unable to join you all at this time. 

May you be comforted with the comfort of our Lord.

I still cannot believe the fact that Brother Vasanth is not with us. I have seen his humble heart in serving our Lord. Never asked anyone for monetary support for all the he did over the years. He brought revival in Portland, OR by bringing in well known Speakers from India, hosting them and spreading the Word of God to many believers. Me and my family were personally blessed by his service. 

Many accepted Christ through his ministry, I personally learned so much from the Bible through his teachings. I believe that he truly fought a good fight and finished the race. I will deeply miss you SIR!!

Haven'' t found such a passionate fighter who never fought with people but was so loving and caring to even those who contended with him. How much more did he love those he loved. And even more did he love the Lord God with all his heart and all his soul and served Him. Such a privilege to have known him. Didn't even imagine that he would choose to finish his fight of good faith so early. Will so dearly miss him. But will always cherish the  good memories we have had in the little time we had fellowship with him by the grace of the Lord.

My journey with Bro Vasanth is unexpectedly very short but very memorable. God made Vasanth my Barnabas though I am much older. 

My heart is heavy and I never dreamt of writing like this about him. He is man of passion and he is very focused. I introduced him to BSF and within short time became a leader. I encouraged him to do theology and got a doctorate. He encouraged his wife to get a doctorate along with him. He can teach Hebrew and Greek. He can take Bible studies to strangers and many became saints. 

He is very missional. He boldly encouraged me to have seminars in Portland, Seattle and Austin. His mind sinks with me and we had bible studies in many college and University campuses. The last seminar at Austin on Christology was a great blessing. Nearly 80 signed up to attend three working day evenings. That speaks how influential he is. That seminar concluded in great joy as 20 responded to the call (a dozen of them are students) 

He is a great supporter of Tyrannus Ministries. Because of his willingness to give papers I was motivated to join my daughter in Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. 

He is a wonderful person at home - he always call his wife “Bangaram.” Their conversation at home is always like that of college buddies. He is a great and encouraging father. The stay with them is always so pleasent. He drove me to several places and our journey was full of interesting and profitable conversations.  I am posting the last two pictures I and my daughter took with him and his family and others. 

To think of my next trip to US has empty feelings. I still remember the last time I saw him at Austin after the Church service bidding me good bye as I got into the car he booked for me to Dallas. He use to play vital role in my scheduling. I miss him a lot truly. Bro Vasanth, my Barnabas will meet you soon.

I really thank God for such a wonderful brother you are , who took care of your anna Edward and his ministry, and the way you have taken the ministry to such heights by involving directly and indirectly. Bro.Vasanth home going is great loss for his family, OFUESI family , Christian community and to all his friends. I had privilege to serve along side with him in  last few OFUESI conferences and could see his dedication to Lord’s work closely. We miss his fellowship, wonderful humor, teaching and brotherly love on this side of heaven.  I hope see to him in heaven according to bible " belive in the name of the Lord will be saved". Praying for the comfort of the family.

Bro. Vasantha not only knew the WORD well but he actually lived it. His mannerism, presence, thoughtfulness, generosity, kindness, humility and simplicity has touched me and many. I am and many are deeply blessed by his sharing of Word at special events (Like Good Friday, Carol rounds) and his participation in our small bible study group. I have been a great fan of his cooking skills. He cooked one of the best biryanis in town. Above all, he will be remembered for his unwavering love for the LORD  and his thoughtfulness and care for those around him, always willing to lend a ear and pray with those who needed encouragement. He never bragged about his accomplishments  nor did he ever complain about life and its challenges. Brother, you will be greatly missed and I thank the LORD for bringing you  and your family to Austin and giving us an opportunity to  share a part of your lives with us here. Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Vasantha & I became friends when I joined Synopsys in 2016. I so appreciated his assistance to "the new guy"; I was sorry to see him depart Hillsboro for sunny Texas during Covid. Most interesting were his tales of becoming a Christian while in India, and bringing his faith with him to the USA.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of our dear brother, Vasanth Kumar . A man of faith, humility, and kindness, he was always ready to support others, as seen when he attended my son’s graduation in Houston with just one call.

We take comfort in John 11:25: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” May God’s peace and strength be with you during this time of sorrow.
