Beulah E. Dunaway

Beulah Evelynne (Evelyn) Dunaway of Austin, Texas passed away the morning of February 19th, 2019. Born in Galveston on July 5, 1938 to her parents, Homer Milton and Elnora (Nora) Allen, of Galveston, she attended Galveston Ball High School and after high school she worked at Southwestern Bell Company in Galveston.

She met the love of her life, Thomas Clifton Dunaway, from Victoria and had four sons. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved all her family with great care and joy.

She is survived by family, three sons, Thomas Lee Dunaway, wife Sandra, of Smithville, John Edgar Dunaway of Austin, Charles Ray Dunaway, wife Eloisa, of Austin, two granddaughters, Natalie Nicole Benek of Georgetown, and Tiffany Renee Dunaway, one brother, Marvin Lee Allen, of Galveston, and two sisters, Margaret Bouquet, of Santa Fe, and Mary Lou Bailey of Paris, AR, and sister-in-law, Margie Allen, also, sisters-in-law, Johnnie Murphy and Marie Simper, husband Julius, brother-in-law, David Dunaway, wife Jennifer all of Victoria, three great-grandchildren, Ledger Bumbalow, Lyric Bumbalow and Luna Benek and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Clifton Dunaway, her son, Robert Milton Dunaway, baby girl, Rhonda, one sister, Dorothy Bouquet and husband Everett of Alvin, and one brother Harold Allen of Dickinson, brothers-in-law Robert H. Dunaway and wife Barbara, of San Antonio, Charles Dunaway and wife Alice, of Portland, sisters-in-law Doris Kleiber and husband Erskine and Laura Leake of Victoria, brothers-in-law, Jack Bailey, husband of sister Mary of Paris, AR and Horace Bouquet, husband of sister Margaret of Santa Fe and George Murphy, husband of sister-in-law Johnnie.

Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Dunaway, John Dunaway, Charlie Dunaway, Kenny Bouquet, Marvin Allen, James Bernard, Randall Calvario and Sergio Garcia.

The family wishes to thank her doctors and the staff of St. David’s South Austin Medical Hospital and Robinson Creek Home Health Services in Austin, Texas for their care and dedication.

Visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35 Pflugerville, Texas 78660, on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 with the committal service immediately following at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.
