C M was born on December 26th, 1925 in Clifton, Texas to Jesse Edwin Cogburn and Bonnie May Mackey. He was a kind and gentle man who dedicated his life to God, the church, his wife, and his children. Much of his time was spent in his garden, remodeling his home, helping at the church, serving his wife and family, and reading the Bible, which he read from beginning to end once a year.
He is preceded in death by his father, mother, his son, Douglas Cogburn, and his daughter, Karen Roberts.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Prisock Cogburn, his granddaughter, Jessica Vidrine, and her husband, Chris Vidrine, as well as the many members of Highland Village Church of Christ who were as close as kin.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 12, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with a graveside service to follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
