Candy worked as an accountant assistant for the City of Austin for 22 years. She put her heart into her work and made many cherished friendships along the way.
Candy loved God and her New Life Austin church family, where she was a devoted member for many years. She remained a faithful member until the time of her passing. She selflessly served God and the church in areas such as van ministry, baptismal team, teaching Life in focus classes and various other ministries. Her relationship with Christ was her most precious treasure. Her faith was unwavering and steadfast. She served Him with gladness and touched so many lives along the way. Her love and service for The Lord is truly something to be admired.
Candy is preceded in death by her parents Nora, and Tomas Guerra, and youngest sister Nora Garcia.
She is survived by her daughters Robin and husband Augustine; daughter Tiffany and husband Daniel, her 9 grandchildren Felicity, Angelina, Anastacia, Candy, Izik, Giana, Santana, Kimberly, and Penelope; 2 Great Grandchildren Nayeli, and Jovanni. Siblings Yolanda, Roman, Stephanie, Carmen, and Joe; and numerous nieces, nephews, and children she took under her wing along the way. Each of whom she had a very special place in her heart for.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tupelo Children’s Mansion.
Visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021 at New Life Austin Church in Austin, Texas. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2021 at New Life Austin Church in Austin, Texas.
