As a little girl, Carissa was always entertaining and bringing joy to those around her. She loved to sing, trained in dance for six years, and in High School found her passion for the Theatre. She led the Thespian Society and was a fine example for the other cast and crew.
Carissa was an incredibly positive and supportive person. With a huge smile and a beautiful laugh, she radiated just like her favorite flower, the Sunflower. She was always willing to help her neighbors, family, friends, and co-workers, no matter the cost. She loved spending time with Juniper, her Great Dane, and Fendi, her cat.
Carissa is survived by her grandmother, (“Maga”) Doris Givens; mother, Cynthia Givens; dad and step-mom, Ken and Kathy Givens; brothers, Zachary Givens and Jacob Gaffney; sisters, Tiffany Gonzalez and Erika Gaffney; great-aunt, Joan (“Nonny”) Kunkel; uncle and aunt, Jerry and Charlotte Wetli; uncle and aunt, Alan and Yvette Givens; aunt, Christi Givens; cousins, Alaina and Chase Hackenberg, Grant Givens, Jasmine Ibarra, Daisy Acosta, Miriam Alirez; Jalan Givens, Chad and Becca Wetli, Scott and Casi Fricks, and extended family and friends who loved her.
A private memorial will be held outdoors on Saturday, July 25th at the North Reflection Cremation Estates. Flowers may be sent the day before to Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Special Olympics, an organization that was close to her heart, https://give.specialolympics.org/page/contribute/texas19.
There will be a Facebook Live stream if not attending.
