Dad, we all miss you already. You left us nothing but wonderful loving memories on how to live life to the fullest. You were and always will be my inspiration. 

Thank you for showing us the true meaning of unconditional love.  Your were a man of faith who did not feel the need to talk the talk!  Instead, you truly walked the walk each and every day until Jesus took you in His arms & carried you home!

I was with Carl on Thanksgiving morning, holding his hand and trying be of some comfort to him. He began to speak to me through his oxygen mask. Some of his words were inaudible, but I knew what message he was trying to convey. He was giving me words of encouragement about the journey I'm currently on with my mom. Carl was near his end, but still thinking of others. I know his reward will be great.

Carl was a God sent in my life.  He was always a good listener and treated me like a son. I am so happy that I was able to have him as a father in law. He was the best and taught me a lot about life. I will miss him dearly but I rest assured that I will see him again!  Love you Carl!!!

I am so sorry for yall's loss of a very wonderful man. From the 1st time I meet Carl & all of the family, i immediately felt a part of the "clan".

I very much enjoyed the years that I bowled with him & Brenda. Prior to bowling with them, I also enjoyed competing against their Friday night team for many years. 

Carl always had a story to tell and always had me roaring with laughter. I'm sure there was a little extra embelishment thrown in to make it a bit more interesting & funny than the actual event. 

I also enjoyed spending time with family for different events at the farm. 

He was always willing & able to lend an ear, a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. 

I know there's a huge party going on upstairs, lots of laughter, hugs & happy reunions with family & friends. 

May you rest in peace my friend. We will one day meet again & I'll be ready for more stories!!

Carl was a wonderful caring man. We worked together for many years at Austin Savings and Loan. He was a great boss and co worker. Customers adored him. He talked about his family all the time. He was so proud of them. My heartfelt condolences to Joyce,, his girls and their families.

TOP was my Mom's (TUT) best relative, he was like a little brother to her. now they can reunite all together...

Uncle Top,  I wish we got to spend Thanksgiving together.  I am so thankful for the many years I was able to spend Thanksgiving at your home.  Thank you for always including me.  Thank you for always being so nice and positive.  Thank you for being a great person.  The world could use a few more Uncle Tops.  Your kindness will live on in the many family and friends lives you touched.  I love you and will see you soon!

I have very fond memories of my 2nd cousin Carl and hearing his stories about the Borg/Rundberg families.  I have always credited Carl with getting me started on documenting our common Swedish heritage in Texas. Carl introduced me to a book by Sammye Munson that documented the path of the emigrants journey from Sweden to Texas.  Carl and Joyce also gave me my first look at the portraits (original) of John and Carolina Borg at their home in the country.  Carl also is the one who purchased and placed a headstone of our common ancestor John Borg at the Fiskville Cemetery on Rundberg Lane in Austin.  We will miss Carl and his always upbeat spirit.

Playing softball on his Austin Savings State Championship team was a beautiful experience. We became part of your family and had the privilege of shared love. We feel close to y'all always. Our sincere condolences, your Dad was a wonderful man.

Carl was an extremely good and caring man. I am very fortunate to have spent time with him and Brenda, and Joyce on Tuesday nights. You will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

Carl introduced me to fishing when I was very young (6 or 7 years old).  He took his grandkids and extended grandkids to fish in the stock tank on his farm that was stuffed full of catfish.
We threw a line in and immediately hooked a fish, then after parents and relatives would help us unhook the fish and reload it with bait, we'ed throw it in again and immediately catch another fish.  This went on for hours until we had enough fish for a gigantic family fish fry.
What an incredible experience.  For years I remembered that tank on Gandpa Carl's farm as this special little secret where all the catfish in the world must live.

What a special husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and example Carl was to so many people.  He will be missed dearly.
