Carol Conn Armstrong, 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 4, 2021. The middle of nine children, she was born April 27, 1932, in Hoxie, Kansas to Hugh L. Conn and Nora Neal Conn. Her family moved to Dripping Springs, Texas when she was 5 years old and soon after made Austin home. She graduated from Austin High School in 1950, and married her childhood sweetheart, Carol Jesse Armstrong, in 1951 at St. Austin’s Catholic Church. They grew up within blocks of each other and met as young kids on the playground of Bailey Park. The Park played an important role in her life and served as the central meeting place for friends from childhood through high school. They remained close friends throughout their lives with their Bailey Park family.

Armstrong, and children, Billy Armstrong and wife Gina, Larry Armstrong and wife Lisa, Patty Roberts and husband David, Jimmy Armstrong and wife Denise, and Ronny Armstrong and wife Valerie.
