DOROTHY JEAN (JEANNIE) WHITE
May 21, 1944 – January 4, 2015
On January 11, 2014, our “Aunt Carol” left us to join her life partner and our dear friend, Jeannie, who passed away on January 4, 2015. As Jeannie had requested, we will have a celebration of both lives as they wished to be buried together with Jeannie’s ashes to be buried with Carol.
Carol was born in Pilot Point, Texas and Jeannie was born in Brooklyn, New York. They met each other in New York, eventually moved to Texas, and were committed to living life to its fullest. Carol and Jeannie shared over 30 years together and, during that time, they travelled all over the United States and took many cruises in the Caribbean. Both were hardworking, dedicated and caring people.
Carol and Jeannie were a central part of a group of friends known as “The BT Family”. In fact, they were lovingly known within the group as Aunt Carol and Uncle Jeannie. Many holidays were spent together and “The Las Vegas gang” always looked forward to their annual trip. Carol will always be remembered as carefree, fun-loving, being partial to the corner stool at BTs, and ready to adopt every stray cat that had the luck to wander into her yard. Jeannie was always down-to-earth, adventurous yet practical, a straight-shooter, quick to laugh, and she loved those occasions that called for getting her hair beautifully coiffed. However, the trait we will always remember is their wonderful and contagious laughter. They will be sincerely missed from our lives but will always live in our hearts.
Visitation will be at Cook Walden located at 14501 IH 35, Pflugerville, Texas on Saturday, January 13th from 6 PM to 8 PM. The memorial for Carol and Jeannie will be at the same location on Sunday, January 14, at 1 PM.
