Carroletta Jane Jackson

Carroletta Jane Jackson was born on April 12, 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Helen Watson Burr and Robert Burr. After a brief illness, Carla departed this life on Resurrection Sunday, April 17, 2022, at the age of 65. Carla was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Jackson, and two brothers, Gerald Watson and Odell Custer.

Carla received her education in the Little Rock Independent School District, graduating from Central High in 1978. After graduation, she married James Jackson, and to this union, one child was born, LeToya. In 1982, the Jackson family moved to Austin, TX. In 2014, Carla became an active member at Sweet Home-Pinnacle of Praise. Carla loved her church; she faithfully served as a greeter and was actively involved in the women’s ministry.

Carla was employed at State Farm Insurance for over 30 years and retired in November, 2018. Carla thoroughly enjoyed retirement, loved her grandchildren, and took pride in maintaining her home. Her hobbies and interests included assembling puzzles, reading, listening to music, window shopping, watching Lifetime, Young & the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, and cooking shows.

Carla leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, LeToya Jackson-Seaborn (Stephen) of Austin, TX; step-children, Terron Jackson and Shantell Jackson; grandchildren, Devonte Dewitty, Savon Jackson, Jackson King, Sammie Seaborn, and Sage Seaborn; siblings, Robert Darrell Burr, Jr. (Ronda) of San Antonio, TX and Barbara Burr Riley of Houston, TX, and a host of relatives and close friends.

A visitation for Carroletta will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Sweet Home - The Pinnacle of Praise, 3200 Sunrise Rd., Round Rock, Texas 78665.
