

Charlene was born on December 1, 1944 to Charles Henry White and Mary Elizabeth White in Mulberry, Arkansas. After graduating from Okmulgee High School in 1963, she went on to study at Oklahoma Baptist University. There, she met the love of her life, Richard Joe Warner, and they wed in June of 1964.
The couple eventually settled in Irving, Texas having and raising their children, Gregory Paul Warner and Steven Charles Warner.
Charlene went on to earn her bachelor's degree and a masters degree in clinical social work from UT Arlington and applied her skills as a social worker for Dallas County Children’s Protective Services. In that role, she touched the lives of children and families for many years.
A five decade cancer survivor, Charlene showed strength of character and a positive attitude in the face of long term medical difficulties. To all who knew her, she served as an example through her faith in God and through the generous love she showed for the people in her life.
An avid reader, she was a passionate genealogist, always learning about history, tracing her family back for many centuries.
Charlene was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Dick, children Greg and Steve, daughter-in-law Nicole and grandchildren Graham, Dylan, Max, and Sabrina.
The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Cook Walden Capital Park Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. The celebration of her life will be held there at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 5th, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army.
