Charlie was born in Muncie, Indiana on December 6th, 1942. He graduated from Albany High School and served in the US Army National Guard. Charlie continued on to receive a degree in electronics from ULE in Louisville, KY. Charlie married Linda Jean Habka in St. Louis, MO on June 26, 1965. Charlie went on to work for McDonnell Aircraft and eventually IBM, which involved him with working on the space program missions of Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Skylab. Charlie retired from IBM Austin in January of 1998.
Charlie is predeceased by his parents, Rigdon Watts and Mary Coahran, and his sister Marge Hobson of Albany, Indiana. Charlie is survived by his loving wife Linda (Round Rock, TX) of 51 years; sons, Shawn (Peggy) of Galveston, TX and Trent (Jennifer) of Austin, TX and sister Carol Watts-Capper from Albany, Indiana. Charlie will be especially missed by his grandchildren, Courtney Woodward and husband Matthew, Kyle Watts, Taylor Watts and Morgan Watts; nieces and the rest of his family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 7th, 2016 from 6:00P.M.-8:00P.M. at Cook-Walden / Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. The Funeral Service with Military Honors will held on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016 at 1:00P.M. in the Mausoleum Chapel on the grounds of Cook-Walden / Capital Parks cemetery with interment to follow in the cemetery. A reception will be given after the burial inside the funeral home.
