Mrs. Loiry was born October 13, 1918, in Macon County, North Carolina to Frank and Etta Browning. She graduated with degrees in elementary education from Western Carolina University and Hardin Simmons University. She taught elementary school and participated in church ministry in North Carolina, New Mexico, and Texas. Christine enjoyed sewing, painting, carving wood, and gardening. She was a resident of Cedar Park since 1992.
Mrs. Loiry was married for 55 years to Alvin A. Loiry, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1998. They had two children, Margaret Loiry Lazaretti and Jane Loiry Wible. She is survived by sisters Helen Reece and Luetta Cash, daughter Jane (Don) Wible, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Memorial Chapel in Pflugerville at 3:30pm on Friday, November 30, 2012.
