Clara W. Sansom

Clara Tetens Sansom, age 84, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2018 in San Marcos, Texas. She was born in Austin, Texas on July 6, 1933. She grew up on a farm and graduated from Manor High School and then Nixon Clay Business College in Austin. On January 10, 1953, she married her high school sweetheart, Carroll Sansom. She spent the whole of her life caring for others. Her kind and loving spirit touched many lives.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Carroll, daughter Cindy Sansom, sister, Nell Dube, and parents, Fred and Nellie Tetens. Those left behind to cherish her memories are her daughters, Brenda and husband James Englishbee, Kay and husband Dale Rodgers, and Lori and husband Walter Mathias; ten grandchildren, Carlana and Sam Balogun, Cara and Andy Eicher, Caryn Englishbee, Carissa and Allen McClintock, Tyler Englishbee, Kaitlyn and Brook Smith, Colter and LeAnn Rodgers, Chance and Catherine Rodgers, Kelsey Mathias, and Cody Mathias; and 10 great-grandchildren, Trae, Troy, and Tinsley Balogun, Saylor, Slade, and Lathe Smith, Kenzie, Sloan, and Leighton Rodgers, and Case Rodgers. She is also survived by her sister Wanda and husband Richard Townsend, and many other dear family members.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at both Brookdale North in San Marcos and Kindred Hospice. Their compassionate care of her was a great comfort to the family.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation and service on July 6, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. The visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. and the funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m.
