Clarence A. Senkel, 92, of Leander, Texas, went home to eternal rest on May 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He is outlived by his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Martha Ann Senkel.
Clarence was a devoted father to six children: Clarence Milton (Pumpkin) Senkel, Theresa Hilscher, Sabrina Senkel-Neitch, Ronny Senkel, Tammy Senkel, and a step-son, Freeman Freddie Lambeck Jr.: a proud grandfather to James Hilscher, Joseph Hilscher, Steven Hilscher, Tina Lawrence, John Senkel, Dallas Stathos, Skylar Womack, Joy Bertrand, and Megan Lambeck: and great-grandfather to Mason Kissel, Brock Kissel, Bailey Bunce, Bret Hilscher, Kash Hilscher, Paislee Taylor, Reese Taylor, Mila Womack: and great-great grandfather to Jameson Hilscher and Brylaine Hilscher.
Through his many seasons, Clarence built lasting bonds with a wide circle of family and friends. His warm, charismatic personality made others feel at home in his presence. A skilled carpenter by trade, Clarence spent his career shaping both residential and commercial spaces with craftsmanship and care. His handiwork lives on in the many structures he improved, including renovations and a gazebo at his home church, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cedar Park.
Clarence will be remembered for his generosity of spirit, devotion to his family, deep-rooted faith, and the trade knowledge he generously passed on to his sons and former employees. He was most at peace in nature - an avid hunter and fisherman whose spirit thrived outdoors. He also had a lifelong love of reading, especially Westerns, which he enjoyed both on the page and the screen.
Clarence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered in countless ways by all who knew him.
Godspeed, Clarence A. Senkel.
Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Cedar Park, in honor of Clarence.
