Clinton was born in Austin, Texas to Reverend Carroll and Velma (Cunningham) Hunter, Sr. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army. He graduated in the 99th cadet class of the Austin Police Department.
Clinton is preceded in death by his father, Reverend Carroll L. Hunter, Sr. and his uncle, Reverend James Warren Hunter, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Colleen Nicole and his two year old daughter Mikayla Christian; his mother Velma Hunter; his brother C.J. Hunter and wife Charlotte; sister Debbie Weir and husband Robert Weir, Sr.; his niece Brittney and nephew Robert Weir, Jr.; parents-in-law Ralph and Sallie Carnal; sister-in-law Heather McGuire; and stepfather Russ Schultz.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, December 3, 2001 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at Shoreline Christian Center, 15201 Burnet Road with Dr. Winn Alley, Rev. Bobbi Kaye Jones and Reverend Linda Kessie of St. John’s United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
He will be greatly missed by his extended family and many loyal friends and co-workers.
Clinton’s family wishes to thank the officers at the Austin Police Department who never left his side.
