Connie Lorett Howle

Connie was born on April 1, 1954 in Gatesville Texas. Her parents were James Howard Russell and Cylest (Fewell) Russell. She graduated from Gatesville High School in 1972. She attended Durham Business College in Waco and went on to work at Coryell County Extension Service. In 2002 she began her career with Teacher Retirement System of Texas where she retired from in 2012.

She married Stacy Howle April 24, 2005 in Austin Texas. She loved being a stepmother and especially loved her grandchildren. She loved going home to the family ranch in Gatesville where she grew up. She enjoyed driving the land with her brother Don and dipping her feet into the Cow House Creek. Connie had a love for animals and was a country girl at heart. She always had an appreciation for nature and the simplicity of country life. Feeding the cows with her Daddy was one of her most cherished memories. She was an accomplished artist and loved to paint. Connie was a member of Central Church of Christ Pflugerville.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, brother Robert Dean Russell, sister Betty Studebaker, brother in law Eddie Macbeth and father in law Ben Howle.

Surviving Connie are, husband Stacy Howle, sister Wanda and husband Claude Burns, sister Faye Macbeth, brother Don Russell and wife Wynette, brother Larry Russell, mother in law Janette Howle, nieces Kelly and husband Wayne Jaco, Coleen and husband Robert Pfieffer, Stacey and husband Stan Gideon, nephew Mark and wife Kim Russell, niece Claudia Burns, and her step daughters, Ashley Turkasz, Jaclyn Murphy and Crystal Howle and 8 grandchildren, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

A visitation for Connie will be held Friday, April 7, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., at Central Church of Christ, 13213 Old Gregg Ln., Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A committal service will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
