Our beloved Crystal Danette Holland, age 47 of Elgin, Texas, passed away on March 17, 2017. She was born in Bellflower, California on January 14, 1970 to John and Mamie Salisbury. True to form, she was always the “Bell of the Ball,” loved flowers, and was a California girl through and through. Crystal graduated from Bakersfield High School in Bakersfield, California and worked her way up to Lieutenant for the Austin Police Department after having served in the Air Force for four years. She was a member of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Pflugerville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Crystal married Eddie Earl Holland, the love of her life, on August 3, 1991 who made it known to all that she was his queen. She is now survived by her loving husband; father, John Salisbury Sr.; mother, Valerie Salisbury; brothers, Crosby Washington, and John David Salisbury Jr.; grandparents, Charles, and Charlotte Brooks; aunts, Shirley Morris, and Betty Jean Smiley; uncle, Wayne L. Pitman. Elijah Holland Jr. and Earlean Woolridge Holland; sister, Elizabeth Holland Stanley; nieces and nephews; too many of her Blue family to count or list; friends; colleagues; and the dogs she loved as her children.
