Darwin G. Scherbek

Darwin will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, AC and Christine, his sister, Doris, and his brothers, AC III, Walter and Ardie. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Katherine Clearman and husband Mac of Austin, Karen Whited and husband Jerry of Rockdale, and Penny Johns and husband Paul, Jr. of Kerrville; his son, Nathan Scherbek and wife Millie of Martindale; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his sister, Helen Peterson of Austin.

Darwin was a loving and generous man with a smile always on his face and an overly abundant blessing of the gift of gab who could become a friend to a perfect stranger in the blinking of an eye.

Darwin has now gone home to be with the Lord and continues that wonderful gift and to watch us from above. Dad, you will be missed by family and those who knew and loved you.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville.
