

Daryld Wayne Hancock was born September 22,1963, in Cleveland, Ohio. to Charles Edward Hancock and Mary Katherine Davis. He was the youngest of seven siblings. He was affectionately known as Face and Pooh Bear by all those that knew and loved him.
Daryld attended Nathan Junior High and John Adams High School. Daryld attended Cleveland State University pursuing a degree in journalism before enlisting in the Air Force which he was a part of the Intelligence Division. After the military he worked as a Relay Agent for Sprint/Tmobile.
In his early years Daryld accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. Later in life he was a member of The Church of the Living Water in Round Rock, Texas where he was a member of the church choir.
Daryld was a beautiful gentle soul who loved God first. He was a wonderful husband of 39 years, an awesome father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved sports and was an avid supporter of the Cleveland Browns, the Guardians, and Cavaliers. He found enjoyment watching wrestling with his son DeAnté and soccer with his son Andre. He loved music but his favorite was Christian music, Jazz, and old school Rhythm and Blues. He also loved barbecuing, courtroom drama books, murder mysteries, board games and playing cards.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his wife, Phadera Helen Goodine Hancock, sons, Andre Hancock and DeAnté Hancock (Angelica), grandson, Tristan, Mother-in-law, Helen Goodine (Billy), Brother-in-law, Paul Goodine, and family member, Lisa Lachin. Brothers, Charles Hancock (Beverly), Ronald Hancock (predeceased Nakisha), and sister, Karen Parrish. Daryld was predeceased by his father, Charles Hancock, his mother, Mary Hancock, his sister, Martha Conway, his brother, Lawrence Hancock, his sister, Sandral Hancock, and brother-in-law, Levern Brown . He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Daryld's large family is a testament to the love and warmth he spread throughout his life.

A celebration of life for Daryld will be held 11:00 AM, with family members greeting friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 19, 2025 in the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
