Diane Kristek Bailey
November 1, 1954- June 20, 2025
With hearts full of sorrow and love, we announce the passing of Diane Kristek Bailey- a woman whose light, warmth, and grace never wavered, even in the face of heartbreak. On June 20, 2025, Diane reunited with her beloved husband, Lynn, and cherished daughter, Courtney, in Heaven- the two she had loved more than anything in life.
Born in Texas City, Texas to Victor and Edith Kristek, Diane was raised alongside her siblings, Leroy and Doris, to whom she remained deeply connected throughout her life. A woman of enduring faith, she was a devout Catholic whose spirituality brought her strength and comfort. Her belief in God's eternal love and her quiet grace served as a guiding light for all who knew her.
Diane embodied kindness, resilience, and selflessness in all aspects of her life. Despite enduring profound loss, she remained a steady source of love and comfort for everyone around her. Her presence felt like a warm embrace- calming, genuine, and unforgettable. To be in her company was to feel truly seen, valued, and deeply loved. Those who knew her would all agree: she was truly one of a kind.
She found joy in life's simplest pleasures- her morning coffee, the excitement of a good slot machine, traveling to new places, and cozy sleepovers with her beloved great-nephew Brandon, who brought her endless joy. Holidays were her time to shine- filling rooms with warmth, creating memories wrapped in tradition, and making everyone feel like family. Her love radiated in every dish she cooked, every gift she gave, and every hug she offered.
Above all else, her heart belonged to her husband and daughter. Their love was the center of her world, and now, it brings peace knowing she is once again with them.
Diane leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion. She is survived by her devoted brother, Leroy; her loving niece Jennifer, and husband Dave; her treasured great-nephew Brandon; her bonus daughter Melody Hummel and all of her second family, the Hummels, whose hearts she touched beyond measure. Her memory lives on in each of us - in every act of kindness, every shared laugh, and forever in every memory we all cherish.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will remain a guiding light. Diane's life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will never fade. She will forever remain in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. Her kindness, resilience, and unconditional love will continue to guide and inspire us. She is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Rest peacefully, dear Diane. Reunited with your loves, wrapped in eternal peace.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th from 4- 8 PM at Cook Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home (14501 N. IH 35, Pflugerville TX 78660.) The funeral service will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Monday, June 30th at 10 AM, with the burial to follow at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
