Diane was born to Bernice Hill and Sylvester Stewart on March 28, 1949. From the day she was born, Diane was wonderful, joyous and demonstrated a loving spirit. Diane attended schools in Austin and graduated from the historic “Old Anderson” before enrolling at Huston Tillotson College.
Diane learned of God in her childhood at the “family” church (Corinth Missionary Baptist Church) and on April 20, 1975 she made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. She was an active member in her church (Dunn’s Memorial Baptist Church) until her death serving as the head of the “sick committee” and in her younger years an active member of the choir. She loved to bring everyone joy through buying gifts and cooking food. She knew that people were happiest eating. It was her personal joy to plan fellowships, family celebrations and babysit children. No one was ever a stranger and she was ‘family’ to everyone. Diane was a dedicated and hard worker; she retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 35+ years of service and made lots of new friends at her future places of employment. Mrs. Nunn was loved by many and she loved to share her faith and life experiences to as many who would listen.
On January 26, 1990, she wed Lee Arthur Nunn and had the pleasure of celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary this year. To their union no children were born, but she cherished her only daughter, Lutrecia, her grandkids, her family and her church family.
Diane departed to her heavenly home on February 20, 2020. Her mother, father, and one sister (Myra) preceded her in death. She leaves to celebrate her life and mourn her loss, her husband Lee Arthur Nunn, her daughter Lutrecia Bardia Oshoko (Adedamola David), her grandchildren: Kerissa Roberts (Taurin), Anastassia Sims (Patrick), and David Folusho Oshoko (Amber) and one great grandchild , Nalyah. Siblings: Kermit Stewart, Billy Joe Hill, Tiny Rena Stewart, Sylvester Stewart, Jr (Alicia) and Virginia Lucrecia Miller (William). Additionally, her Aunt Estella Hicks and her Uncles, James T. Stewart and Milton Gooden, Sr. along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and associates mourn her loss. However, we all rejoice because as a daughter of the Most High she is promised eternal life in the resurrection of her Savior Jesus Christ.
