Donald Frank Anderson, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Emma (Mauritz) Anderson, his first wife of over 60 years, Kathleen Anderson and his daughter, Margaret Ann Anderson Young. Those left include his wife, Linda Anderson; and his family to cherish his memory include his son, Don Anderson, Jr. and wife Jeanne; son, Ron Anderson; grandchildren, Mike Young, Johnathan Thomas and Jennifer Anderson Tausworthe; great grandchild, Andrew Young, Johnathan Jr. and Brennan Tausworthe; brother, Alfred Anderson Jr.; brother, Bruce Anderson and his wife Muriel; and sister Martha Johnston; and host of other relatives and friends.

Don proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for the City of Austin as a Utility Supervisor for over 20 years. After a short-lived retirement, Don went to work for Cook-Walden Funeral Home where he worked for another 20+ years. No matter what Don was doing, you could always be assured it was being done with extreme pride, dedication and attention to detail. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Don will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2020 in The Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home followed by Military graveside services at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
