Dorretha Ina Williams

Dorretha Ina Williams was born on July 16, 1970, in DesMoines, Iowa, to her dearly beloved parents, Mr. Raymond Williams and Mrs. Hattie Williams. Dorretha was their baby, the youngest child. Dorretha brought a lot of joy into our lives with her beautiful smile, brilliant mind, and good sense of humor. As a child, Dorretha enjoyed reading, writing, roller skating, listening, singing along and dancing to popular music. Dorretha performed in a school dance production with Dawn, her sister. Dorretha’s favorite interests include music, poetry, history, arts, crafts, cuisine, nutrition, and sharing her knowledge and talents with family and friends.

Dorretha resided in the states of Iowa and Kansas as a child before venturing out as a young lady to the great State of Texas. Dorretha attended West High School, Wichita State University, and Austin Community College, studying subjects of Science and History. Dorretha worked as an Administrative Assistant for the University of Texas and for the Department of Health and Human Services. Dorretha took pride in her work.

Dorretha became a devoted mother of six children: Jahleed, Tafia, Akila, Ziya, Razinyah, and Jancyne. As a loving, caring mother, Dorretha endeavored to assure the well-being of her children, encouraging each of them to be healthy and happy and to walk with hope, courage, and faith in difficult times. Dorretha has sisters, Dawn, Darlene, Deborah, and Donna. and brothers, Marcus, Christopher, Glenn, Charles, Albert and Robert. and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and more family to honor her legacy.

Dorretha, dearly beloved mother, aunt, sister, daughter, friend, will be forever cherished in the hearts, minds, and souls of her family and friends. Love is forever.

A Funeral Service will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660, US, on March 14, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

A Committal will take place at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660, US, on March 14, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
