Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, she welcomed her firstborn before life led her to Lubbock, Texas, where she met the love of her life, Luis. They were married in June 1982 and together built a beautiful life, later welcoming their loving children. Through hard work and an unwavering love for her family, she created a home filled with warmth, comfort, and care.
She worked as a housemaid with quiet strength and took joy in life's simple blessings, searching for hidden treasures at garage sales, preparing meals that brought her family together, and sewing with hands that lovingly cared for those around her. She also had a special love for scary movies and clowns, a reflection of the fun and joyful spirit that made her smile. Above all, she treasured her family. Her love was constant, her heart was generous, and the memories she created will forever be cherished by all who were blessed to know and love her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Luis Casillas. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Rodrigo Rodriguez, Maria-Luisita Hernandez, Vanessa Muoz, and Cristo Jesus Rodriguez.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation and rosary prayer service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. She will be laid to rest at 1:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
