On March 26, 2019, Edward Ernesto Benedetto of Round Rock, Texas passed away at age 44. Edward was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, friend, and family member to many. As one of his friends recently said, Edward was “one of the good guys.”
Edward was born on March 7, 1975, in San Salvador, El Salvador. He was raised in Laredo, Texas where he graduated from J.W. Nixon High School in 1994. He later received his associate degree at Texas State University in San Marcos.
In 1996, Edward married his high school sweetheart, Esther, and in October of 2005, they welcomed their lovely daughter, Mia Raquel. Together, the family traveled the country visiting places like New York, San Francisco, New Mexico and Colorado.
Edward had an adventurous spirit and was passionate about cars, sports, and motorcycles. A hard worker by nature, Edward was a well-trusted and dedicated U.S. Postal Service employee for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Esther and his daughter, Mia Raquel. Other family members include: mother, Rosa Julia Cortez Palma; father, Eduardo D. Benedetto; brothers, Gerardo Cortez, Brian Cortez, Elias Benedetto, Demetrio Benedetto, Orlando Benedetto and sisters, Rosa Irene Casillas and Jennifer Benedetto; and numerous other friends and family members.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and a celebration of his life will commence on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas.
