Eleanor Wiener

Eleanor Donaldson Wiener, 97, died Monday, October 10, 2022. Eleanor was born in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, on August 5, 1925. That is where she grew up, married, and began her family. Next came Kingston, NY, and Lexington, KY, before settling in Austin in 1968.

She was married to Joe Wiener for 47 years. He preceded her in death in 1996.

Eleanor is survived by her son Joe Wiener and his wife, Gina; son Jim Wiener and his wife, Cindy; daughter Cindy Williams; sister Virginia Giffen and her husband, Dick. Her seven grandchildren; Eli Williamson and his wife Amanda; Chris Wiener and his wife Natalie; Tim Wiener and his wife Leticia; Christina Markham and husband Andrew; Jo'el Wiener; Bryant Williams and Jeff Williams. Her two great-grandchildren are Thomas Cade Williamson and Sofia Eleanor Wiener. Her nieces and nephews are Tina Garrett, Karen Giffen, Carol Montano, Bill Devenzio, Michael Wiener, and Katheryn Lepczyki.

Eleanor loved to read, travel, garden and bake. Favorite recipes will continue to be enjoyed by the family. She became familiar with the sport or activity of each child and grandchild and was on the sidelines whenever possible. Eleanor's family, friends, and neighbors will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 21, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
