Our beloved Elizabeth Saucedo Aguilar passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Austin, Texas at the age of 83. She was born on October 20, 1937 in San José de Cloete in the Mexican state of Coahuila and married her life partner, Refugio “Cuco” Aguilar, on December 9, 1956.
Elizabeth was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Despite fighting cancer for the past two years, she remained in great spirits and was always willing to put the needs of others before her own. Whether she was hosting family and friends, or caring for her plants, her warm and loving nature was felt and cherished by all around her. Elizabeth’s home and heart were open to all. She was a remarkable hostess who ensured her guests never left with an empty stomach. Anyone who entered her home left with fond memories of dancing, singing, and cooking–Elizabeth’s greatest joys in life.
Elizabeth was a devout Catholic whose love for God was only equaled by her love for her family. She was the center of her family and leaves behind many loved ones including six children, sixteen grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren, listed below: her children, Evelyn Aguilar, Rogelio Aguilar, Maricela Aguilar, Alma Aguilar, Manuel Aguilar, and Joe Aguilar; her grandchildren, Cynthia Guerra, Roger Aguilar, Jasmine Soto, Crystal Carrasco, Ashley Aguilar, Juan Guerra, Valerie Lopez, Zoraima Pelaez, Amber Aguilar, Nohely Pelaez, Adrian Aguilar, Karla Aguilar, Kevin Aguilar, Liza Aguilar, Kimberly Aguilar, and Josue Aguilar. She also leaves great-grandchildren, Daniel Guerra, Jonathan Dunbar, Jules Androh, Ayden Diaz, Victoria Rodriguez, Julissa Aguilar, Deja Androh, Davin Androh, Gianna Contreras, Meah Cozzens, Jordan Trevino, Araiez Pagan, Sadie Contreras, Stella Staurt, Jaxson Staurt, and Kyrie Pagan.
There will be a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Road, Austin. Committal will follow at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
Due to the current COVID protocols, guests are required to wear protective face masks at all times and practice the recommended six foot social distancing.

Nuestra querida Elizabeth Saucedo Aguilar falleció el sábado 16 de enero del 2021 en Austin, Texas a la edad de 83 años. Nació el 20 de octubre de 1937 en San José de Cloete en el Estado Mexicano de Coahuila y se casó con su pareja por vida, Refugio “Cuco” Aguilar, el 9 de diciembre de 1956.
Elizabeth era una devota hija, hermana, esposa, madre, tía, abuela, bisabuela y amiga. A pesar de luchar contra el cáncer durante los últimos dos años, se mantuvo de buen humor y siempre estuvo dispuesta a anteponer las necesidades de los demás a las suyas. Mientras hospedaba a familiares y amigos, o cuidaba de sus plantas, su temperamento amable y cariñoso fue sentido y apreciado por todos a su alrededor. La casa y el corazón de Elizabeth estaban abiertos a todos. Fue una anfitriona notable que se aseguró de que sus invitados nunca se fueran con el estómago vacío. Cualquiera que entrara a su casa se marchaba con gratos recuerdos de bailar, cantar y cocinar: las mayores alegrías de Elizabeth en la vida.

Habrá una visita de 6:00 pm a 8:00 pm, el martes 26 de enero de 2021, con un rosario recitado a las 7:00 pm en la Funeraria Cook-Walden/Capital Parks en Pflugerville.
