She is survived by her children, Jim and Cathy, and her five grandsons as well as daughter-in-law, Alice, and son-in-law, Nick. She enjoyed 64 years of marriage to her husband Manley "Jim" Hall who predeceased her.
Betty was born and raised in Kearney, New Jersey. She met Jim Hall at a USO dance, they married and subsequently lived in Michigan, California and Colorado before settling in North Aurora, Illinois where they raised their family. Betty and Jim were active in the community and the church. Betty was a girl scout leader and worked as a bank teller and a bookkeeper.
A job transfer for Jim brought her to Austin, Texas in 1985. Betty immediately took to life in the Hill Country and she enjoyed exploring the state of Texas. She was an active member of Saint Albert The Great Catholic Church in North Austin and its "Great Club." She enjoyed baking for special events and having game nights with club members. She could often be found at Cafe Java with Jim and her "Great Club" friends celebrating birthdays and special occasions. Betty enjoyed traveling and some of her most cherished memories were of trips she and Jim took to Hawaii, Canada, Branson, the East coast and Florida. Even more cherished however was her family and close friends.
Betty's extended family includes the residents and staff at Park Bend Health Center in Austin, who shared friendship and care with both she and Jim.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.cookwaldencapitalparks.com for the Hall family.
