Elsie Viola Pearson Clements, age 92, of Elgin, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026. She was born on September 4, 1933, in Leander, Texas, to John Harvey Pearson and Alpha E. Whitt Pearson. She was baptized at the Church of Christ and is a member of the Elgin Church of Christ. She remained a dedicated Christian throughout her life.
Elsie worked at the Church of Christ orphanage, Boles Home, in Quinlan, Texas, for several years before retiring. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years to the young children.
Her hobbies included quilting and sewing. She loved to sew gifts for others. She also embroidered and gave gifts to many friends and relatives.
Preceding Elsie in death was he mother, Alpha E. Pearson; father, John Harvey Pearson; husband, Lewis T. Clements; brother, Harvey Edward Pearson; seven sisters, Opal I. McAlpin, Tincie J. Sherman, Lois Riewe, Geraldine Suggett, Mearline Hicky, Margie Spaulding, and Jane Brady.
Elsie Viola is survived by her daughter, Jorja Clements; sister, Joyce Eline Jackson; brother-in-law, Damon Jackson; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660, on June 24, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660, on June 25, 2026, at 11:00 am.
A Committal Service will follow at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660, on June 25, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
