

Elsie Mary Louise Reinhardt, age 103, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025. Elsie was born April 7, 1922, in the rural community of Maha in Travis County and remained a lifelong resident of Austin, Texas. She was the daughter of Louis and Alma (Wagner) Von Quintus and the sister of Hilmer, Halger and Louis Jr. She attended Buda High School.
Elsie was baptized, confirmed and married the love of her life Clarence Reinhardt at Salem Lutheran Church. She and Clarence were married 58 years before his passing in 2000. She was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild and as a teller with Clarence.
Elsie was a dedicated homemaker for her family. Memories of her homemade bread and her skill as a seamstress remain with her children Roger Reinhardt and (wife Donna) and Margaret Sorgee and (husband Gerald). Elsie has three grandchildren: Misty Marie Slaight (husband Jim), Roger Christopher Reinhardt (wife Julie) and Jason Paul Reinhardt (wife Holly) and five great-grandchildren: Hunter Reinhardt, Cody Reinhardt, Savannah Reinhardt, Shelby Reinhardt and Caitlyn Foy. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery on Thursday, September 25, 2025, 2:00pm. Pastor Ross Davis, St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating.
Elsie’s family would like to thank the staff at Sagebrook SN Health Center who loved and cared for her in her last years. God’s blessings to you all.
