Evangelina Davila Riojas

2021. She was born in Littlefield, TX on February 11, 1955 to her parents, Domingo and Rosa Thompson

Davila. Evangelina was married to Robert E. Riojas Sr. for 47 years.

Evangelina was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Nena Davila and Lupe Davila. She is survived by her siblings Janie Arteaga, Margie Davila, David Davila, Guillermo (Willie) Davila, Domingo

(Mingo) Davila, and Plutarco Davila.

She is also survived by her children: Anthony (Tony) Riojas, Robert E. Riojas, Jr, and Luchanna Julie Munoz; grandchildren: Robert E. Riojas III (Tre), Azul Riojas, Marcus Riojas, Grace Rose Riojas, Jeremiah Woodward Riojas, Maximus (Maxie) Riojas, Matthew Munoz and JC Munoz.

Evangelina was a dedicated mother, wife, and grandmother. She owned her own hair styling salon in

Austin until 2016. Over the many years of her career, she met customers who turned into lifelong friends, watched families grow, always lent a listening ear, and shared her bright kind smile with each person that sat in her chair. She started her business back in the late 80’s when there were not a lot of minority women as entrepreneurs. It was a true testament of her fortitude as a strong woman. She was loved by everyone.

Her favorite pass time was spending time with her grandchildren; she loved watching them grow and experiencing life’s lessons with them. Family brought more joy to her than anything. She will be greatly missed.

The viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2021 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in The Memorial Chapel of the funeral home followed by a committal service in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
