Florene Arldt Teinert was born on June 16, 1931 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 1, 2021. She was born and grew up at The Grove, Texas, the second of seven children. She married Walter Teinert on January 29, 1955. Together they raised a family in Midland, Texas where they were active members of Grace Lutheran Church and Holy Cross Lutheran Church until they moved to Round Rock, Texas in 2005. She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Pflugerville, Texas. Florene will be remembered for having the most generous and giving heart, superb cooking and baking, her green thumb, her incredible smocking, needle work, embroidery, crochet and sewing skills, as well as the love for her family. She was known as “Nana” by her grandchildren who adored spending time with her as they learned the lifelong skills she taught them. A true Angel on Earth.
Florene is preceded in death by her husband, Walter and two sisters, Irene and Adeline. She is survived by her son Glen Teinert; daughter Debbie Vasicek; three grandchildren Kristen Vasicek, Ashley Vasicek and Lance Vasicek and wife Ashley; one great-grandson Luke Vasicek; two brothers Elmer Arldt and wife Carol and Lloyd Arldt and wife Brenda; two sisters Caroline Fuessel and husband Walton, Viola Patchke and husband Gene.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home 5:30 to 6:30pm for family and 6:30 to 7:30pm for friends of family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm., Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1513 E. Yeager Lane, Austin. Graveside committal services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35 Pflugerville, TX 78660.
