

Frances Jean Walden Neal passed away Saturday, August 31st at age 87. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who also spent many years helping her husband and sons in the management of their family electrical business. Frances grew up in Austin and Fort Worth, graduating from Fort Worth Northside High School, where she met the love of her life, Donald Neal. Frances and Donald were longtime residents of Round Rock where they raised their family and made many enduring friendships.
Frances's family was her life's true joy. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren, never missing a game or event. She loved cooking and baking for her family, and nothing delighted her more than a house full of family sharing food and fellowship. She was kind and gentle with a big smile and generous heart. She was proud of her Texas heritage and had a patriotic spirit. She loved baseball, bluebonnets and pecans, had a sweet tooth, and was especially known for her love of chocolate.
Frances is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Donald Neal, sister Ruby McMillin, and parents Morris Aubrey and Fern Walden. She is survived and will be terribly missed by her son Russell Neal and daughter-in-law Kim Neal, son Bryan Neal and daughter-in-law Carol Neal, grandchildren Tyson Neal and Fernando Nieri, Kate Neal, Adrianne Hobby and Josh Hobby, David Neal and Taylor Neal, Amy Gilbert and Griffin Gilbert, and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, September 5th at 1PM with services immediately following at 2PM at Cook Walden Capital Parks funeral home, 14501 N. IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully asks that you honor Frances with a donation to the charitable organization of your choice.
