

Frankie Marie Stephens, also known as “Red”, was born to Abraham and Maggie Esther Williams as their fourth child on November 21, 1940. She departed this life on October 10, 2017 at St. David’s Round Rock Hospital.
Frankie was united in marriage to Bobby Hill and they had three children: Tina Caldwell of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Gwendolyn Jiles of Austin, Texas, and Reginald Hill. Years later, she married James Stephens which brought Frankie her fourth child, Jacqueline Stephens of Manor, Texas.
In Frankie’s early years in California, she had a professional music career, she had an appearance on the Rudy Ray Moore TV show, and recorded a record. After returning back to Austin, Texas, she worked as a director of a Halfway House for Travis County upon retiring.
Fashionista Frankie enjoyed living life to the fullest with her friends and family. Her love for cooking, music, and playing cards and dominoes made her house the place to be. In her later years, she never missed her weekly shows which were Wrestling, Walker Texas Ranger, and she loved to watch CSI while eating ice cream.
Frankie is preceded in death by her son, Reginald Hill, and her baby sister, Annetta ray Mayberry-Sanders. Those left to cherish her memory include her three daughters, 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, along with loving nieces and nephews: Esther, Paula, Carmen, Hosetter, and Rhonda, James, and Orlando. Frankie is also survived by her siblings: Bertha Mitchell (Charles), John Williams, and Abraham Williams.
Frankie will be truly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 17th, 2017, in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home with an interment to follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
