Frieda Edwards, age 93, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at her home in Granger. Frieda was born January 13, 1928 in Taylor, Texas. She worked for the Department of Public Safety in Austin for over 10 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crafts and crossword puzzles. She was a longtime volunteer at the Seton Medical Center where she was awarded Volunteer of the Year for her dedicated service. Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Frieda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Horace Edwards; son, Johnny Edwards; and several brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sandy Muegge; four grandchildren, Tracy Glaeser, Lance Glaeser, Bobby Edwards and Crystal Favati; four great grandchildren, Briar Olenick, Peyton Olenick, Owen Hogan and Canyon Favati; two great great grandchildren, Walker Wagnon and Braider Olenick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. A graveside service at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Rick Hertless officiating. Pallbearers will be Briar Olenick, Bobby Edwards, Danny McClelland, D.J. McClelland, Nathan Flores and Walker Wagnon.
If friends so desire, memorial donations in Frieda’s memory can be made to the Ascension Seton Medical Center or New Century Hospice.
