

Gene Edward Young, Jr., age 33, left us unexpectedly on November 27, 2013. He was born on September 3, 1980 in Round Rock, Texas to the loving union of Gene Edward Young, Sr. and Janice Kay Young. He graduated from Round Rock High School in 1998. As a teenager at Praise Tabernacle, he gave his life to Christ. He attended ACC, where he received his Associate Degree in Business Management. In 2008 he became a proud father and was blessed with the love of his life, Tilar Harris-Young.
As a child, Gene loved to tinker with electronics; so much so, that by the time he entered high school, it was evident that he was gifted in the area of technology. Although self-taught, he was so extremely technolgically talented that he mastered several technological concepts. Gene composed and mastered music, developed web pages, and edited videos with an expertise that astounded the general public as well as professionals. His talents and gifts have left lasting impressions upon the entire R.O.C.K. organization, the Round Rock and Austin communities, and those with whom he worked.
Gene is survived by his parents, Gene Edward Young, Sr. and Janice Kay Young; his brother, Adam Young and sister-in-law, Olga Young; his nieces and nephews, Jaylen, Anna, Daniel, and Angel; and by the love of his life, his daughter Tilar Harris-Young and her mother, Quincy Harris.
