Treasured wife and mother, Geneva A. Wolff, went peacefully to be with the Lord and eternal home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Born on October 18, 1931, in Alvarado, Texas, Geneva was the daughter of Ardmore and Iris Dees. She grew up on the family farm in Kyle, Texas. After graduating from Hays High School, she worked as a telephone operator in Austin. She met the love of her life, Roy L. Wolff through a mutual friend and they were married on May 16, 1950. They moved to Austin where they raised their three children, Connie, Barbara (Babbie), and Randy.
Geneva and Roy were an excellent example of opposites attracting, and for 67 years were completely devoted to one another. She was the quiet, soft spirit that insured the family had fabulous baked goods, stylish hand-made clothing, a home full of love, and could stretch a dollar further than anyone could. She loved to quilt, crochet, and do crossword puzzles.
A stay-at-home mom, Geneva, was active in the PTA at Margaret Reilly Elementary. While Geneva and Roy raised their children with not a lot of material things, they did instill in them a love of family, surrounded by lots of laughter, and good old common sense. While raising their family, Geneva and Roy loved to go camping, fishing and exploring the great outdoors and later began to go RVing with family and friends. They also enjoyed cruising to places such as the Caribbean and Alaska.
Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, Ardmore and Iris Dees and her siblings, Ira, Alfred, Ralph, and Iris Dees. She is survived by her brother, James of Lockhart, and sister, Doris Shoemaker of Nacogdoches. She is also survived by her loving husband Roy of Cedar Park; her children, Connie Covington and husband Albert Covington of Cleveland, Tennessee, Barbara Keese and her husband John Keese of Cedar Park, and Randy Wolff and his wife Lynda of Wimberley; her grandchildren, Jennifer Sykes and Michael Covington both of Cleveland, Tennessee, Erica Jones of Luling, Philip Keese of Austin, Angela Johnson of Copperas Cove, Miranda Basey of Cedar Park, Amanda Tschoerner of Leander, and Melissa Wolff of Cedar Park, as well as 18 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the excellent staff, fabulous nurses, and awesome aides of Trinity Care Center of Round Rock and Altus Hospice of Round Rock for their tender and loving care. The family also asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund at www.curealz.org
