1960 – 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of George DePugh, who left this world peacefully, at his home in Pflugerville, Texas, surrounded by his children.
Born in Bellaire, Texas, George lived a life defined by devotion to family, integrity in his work, and a heart full of kindness. He will be remembered as a man of quiet strength—kind-hearted, trustworthy, and deeply tender in his love for others. His playful spirit and quick wit brought joy to everyday life, while his steady presence offered the security of a true guardian to those fortunate enough to know him.
One of George’s achievements was building Lively Delivery Service alongside his beloved late wife, Alice Lively-DePugh. Together, they built a legacy of commitment, creativity, and care. Their work supported not only their own family but also the many employees and contractors who became like family along the way.
George was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Alice, and by his parents, Richard DePugh and Trudy Barna Lloyd. He is survived by his children: Erin and Tom Patriquin, Wesley DePugh and Robin Selman, and Paige Fetty. He is also remembered fondly by his siblings: Susan Elliott, Debbie Elliot, Jane Lloyd, Rose Langgin, and Jeff DePugh.
George enjoyed the simple joys of life—tending his vegetable garden with care and pride, and playing poker, where his sharp mind and good humor were always appreciated. He was also a lifelong fan of the Houston Astros and had an enduring love for the game of baseball. Whether cheering from the stands or watching at home, the game brought him joy, connection, and countless memories shared with family and friends.
George’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched—with compassion, mentorship, and love.
The family kindly requests that no floral arrangements be sent.
The service arrangements will be shared once finalized.
