George W. Young passed away at his home August 27, 2011. He was born to William and Cate Greene Young on February 4, 1931 in White Deer, Texas. George retired from Southwestern Bell as a telephone line manager after 38 years. He was a deacon for twenty-eight years at Hyde Park Baptist Church, as well as a former director of the Widowers Support Group. He is survived by his wife of sixteen years Eva Young, five children and spouses, Woody & Mindy McMinn, Dana & Bob West, Melissa & Tex Reardon, Carla & Tim Gordon, and James & Donna Hargis. His ten grandchildren Jourdin, Kelsey and Cate McMinn, Tony Burno, and Katy and husband Will Burke, Casey Reardon, Eva Zingery and Christopher, Sadieand Cassidy Gordon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 1pm at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home 14501 N. IH-35 Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
