

Jerry Russek, age 85, born August 23, 1925 in Paul’s Valley, OK, died Monday September 27, 2010 in Round Rock, TX after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Jerry was a devoted member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Corpus Christi since 1959. She was a founding member of the Incarnate Word Associates, and an active member of the Altar and Rosary Society, Caring Friends, St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry, and a volunteer at Christus Spohn Hospital. Jerry loved spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, E.J. Russek, and 5 children: Robert (Cathy) Russek, Mark (Dee) Russek, Anne Byers, Mary Janet (Randy) Lloyd, Frances Russek, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Agnes Osterhaus, and 2 brothers, TJ and Harold.
She is survived by one brother, James and three sisters, Agnes, Helen and Sr. Barbara Ann.
The family will receive guests at in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 1, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 1520 N. Railroad Ave., Pflugerville, TX 78660. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 10:30am.
