Waldine N. Stafford

Waldine Nelson was born on August 9, 1925 in Taylor, Texas to J. B. and Freida Nelson.

She married Charles Preston “Spoot” Stafford on June 14, 1948 at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.

Mrs. Waldine Stafford is survived by son, Larry, and wife Bethany Stafford of Buda, Texas, daughter, Sharon Hart of Center, Texas, and son, John, and wife Debi, of Charleston, South Carolina; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Waldine is preceded in death by her parents: JB and Freida Nelson, Husband: Charles Preston “Spoot” Stafford, Brothers and sisters in law: Hartwin and Myrtle Nelson, Louis and Marie Nelson, sisters and brothers in law Myrtle and Melvin Beckham and Hazel and Wilburn Schiwitz.

There will be a visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home at 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas. Immediately following the visitation will be a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. led by Pastor Karl Gronberg of Gethseme Lutheran Church where she was a long standing member. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. Pallbearers are her eight grandchildren: Jennifer Foran, Amanda Heselmeyer, Greg Hart, Glenn Hart, Kimberly Hart, Courtney Hamner, Erin Mills and T.J. Stafford.

Mrs. Waldine Stafford was a kind, generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all whose life she touched.
