She was born in Lubbock, Texas, on August 18, 1941 to parents Edna Lois (Myers) and Elton “Doc” Griffith. She graduated from Monterey High School.
Gloria was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and had a passion for church service and family.
Gloria is survived by her daughter Kristi Powell, son-in-law Mike Powell, brother Jeff Griffith and Catherine Traxler of Lubbock, TX, and her grandchildren Nathan and Ryan Powell of Pflugerville, Texas.
Gloria will be laid to rest at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas after a graveside service.
