Greg was born at Altus Air Force Base in Altus, Oklahoma to Eve Sellers and Sidney Keith Brown, Jr. They eventually settled in Richardson, Texas where Greg attended J.J. Pearce High School. He went on to achieve his Associates degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Texas State Technical Institute in Waco and pursued a passionate career in landscape design. It was through this career, while tending to the plants at the Chrysler Building in Dallas, that he met his beloved wife, Paula. Greg and Paula were married on February 2, 1991, sharing over 35 years of blissful marriage and their cherished son, Alexander, who was born in 1993.
Being a devoted husband and father was among Greg’s greatest joys in life, alongside his steadfast faith and relationship with Christ. Greg was a member of many congregations throughout his years, and through the church he made many treasured and lifelong friends. In 2024, Greg and Paula moved to Belton, Texas where they attended their local Crossroads Church.
Greg’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and resilience, and we are relieved he is now free from all pain in the warm embrace of the Lord. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Eve and Keith. He is survived by his wife, Paula Brown, and his son, Alex (Aryn); his sister, Becky Pleasant (Jonathan) and niece, Emma; his cousins Edward, Ron, and Evan Rikansrud; his cousins Dee Dee Schatzberg (Glenn), and Kathleen; and his dearest canine companion, Tess.
We invite you to celebrate Greg’s life with us on Monday July 6th, 2026, at 2:00pm at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 N I-35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. Everyone is welcome to gather for the memorial; the graveside service will be a private moment for immediate family only.
