Guadalupe R Fuentes

Guadalupe Rendon Fuentes, 90, of Austin, passed away September 21, 2016. Mrs. Fuentes was known by friends as Lupe. She was born in Mission, Texas on September 4, 1926, to Manuel and Eudelia Rendon. Mrs. Fuentes attended school in South Texas. She was a devoted wife and mother to one daughter and four sons.

Mrs. Fuentes’ passion was serving others and loved her children more than words can describe. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and served faithfully as a volunteer for the Make Ready Team for Mobile Loaves & Fishes, the Membership Office, Minister of Holy Communion and Homebound Ministry.

Survivors include her daughter; Beatrice Lamb of Austin, Texas, and four sons; Joel Fuentes of Friendswood, Texas, Ruben Fuentes of Cape Fair, Missouri, Manuel Fuentes of Austin and George Fuentes of Temple, Texas.

Mrs. Fuentes was preceded in death by her husband, Benancio Fuentes, parents, and a sister, Eva Rendon.

Serving as pallbearers are grandsons; Joseph Fuentes, Timothy Fuentes, Ben Fuentes, Nathan Fuentes, Gabriel Fuentes and Brian Kavanagh. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael Lamb and Holden Fuentes, and sons Joel Fuentes, Ruben Fuentes, Manuel Fuentes and George Fuentes.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm, Friday, September 23, 2016, in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North IH 35, Pflugerville, Texas. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon Saturday, September 24, 2016, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas with Reverend James Misko officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.

In lieu of flowers, the Fuentes family suggests memorials be made to the St. Louis Catholic Church Homebound Ministry, 7601 Burnet Road, Austin, TX 78757.
