

Harry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War after being drafted in 1969. He served as a radio-telephone operator and was awarded medals for exemplary service, including the Combat Infantryman's Badge. His military service remained one of the proudest chapters of his life. In the years that followed, Harry reunited with his platoon and attended numerous Vietnam War reunions, maintaining lifelong bonds with his fellow servicemen.
Following his military service, Harry built a long and respected career in the automotive industry, where he worked for over 50 years. He was known for his dedication, knowledge, and strong work ethic, and at one point fulfilled a lifelong goal by owning his own auto parts store.
Harry is survived by his son, Ryan Collin; his daughter, Stephanie Collin Irwin (Mike); his beloved granddaughter, Paige Irwin; and his former wife, Beverly Collin—though divorced, they remained close friends. He was also a devoted companion to many cherished basset hounds over the years, who brought him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elvera Collin.
Services will be held at Cook-Walden Capital Parks on Thursday, January 22, 2026, beginning with a visitation at 9:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m.
Harry will be remembered for his service to his country, his commitment to his work, and his deep love for his family. His legacy of loyalty, pride, and perseverance will live on in all who knew him.
