Hazel Mae Moore

Hazel is survived by her children, Billy Moore (wife, Susan), Douglas Moore (wife, Eileen), and Donny Moore (wife, Helen); and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands, J.W. Moore and James Casparis.

Hazel was born on March 19, 1924 in Mathis, Texas to John C. Hickman and Jodie Hendricks. She was a stay-at-home mother and helped her husband, J.W. Moore, run a very successful roofing company. After raising her sons, she operated The Lake View Inn and Carlo’s on Lake Austin. This was her passion because she loved spending time with family and friends.

Hazel was very skilled at cooking and catering. She was a generous and witty individual who loved traveling, even if it was just a drive thru the hill country or a weekend at the beach. She was the Queen of our family and will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank her caregivers for their dedication to Miss Hazel.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville.
