Hellen Elizabeth Bruce Atkison

During her career, she was an underwriter for National Western Life. She also enjoyed watching Longhorn football and doing crafts.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Russell Atkison and her daughter, Carla Nichols, and six brothers and sisters.

She was the best wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was deeply loved by her family; and leaving to cherish her memories are her granddaughter, Lisa Ward and husband, Kevin Ward; grandson, Russell Nichols; great-granddaughter, Abigail Nichols, Sarah Ward, Faith Ward, Grace Ward and great-grandson, Liam Ward all of Austin; her sister, Rebekah Castleberry of Lufkin; nephew, Phil Smith; great-nephew, Dustin Smith, and great-nieces, Kara Smith and Sherri Graf and husband, Kevin.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 3:30 pm at Garden of Memories in Lufkin, Texas.
