

Hilda Nena Luna, 88, of Round Rock, Texas, died Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Bel Aire at Teravista in Round Rock, Texas. She was born July 20, 1927 in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico to Francisco and Zapopan Farias. She married Santiago Luna, on October 29, 1947 and he survives.
Also surviving are her son, Everardo and grandson, Brandon and Brandon’s wife, Dani, great granddaughters Sydney and Zoie; Brandon’s mother Eileen; her two daughters, Rossana and Rebeca, Rebeca’s husband Daren and grandson Evan; her son Santiago (III) and Santiago’s wife, Veronica and grandchildren, James, Joshua, Jacob and Annalise; her sisters Ana Maria and nephews Guillermo and Francisco; Raquel and nephews Ricardo, Daniel and niece Heidi; her brother Oscar and Oscar’s wife Rosalinda, nieces Rosalinda, Diana Mayra and Karen.
Hilda’s parents, sisters Nora, Libertad and brother Mario, and one son, Santiago Jr. preceded her in death.
Hilda was a resident of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico; Eagle Pass, Texas; and Austin, Texas where she lived since leaving her home in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico at the age of 16.
She loved to cook, sew, read, do crafts, shop, watch movies and she enjoyed her family and friends. She also loved to volunteer at her church helping the nuns during catechism classes.
Funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Altus Hospice in Round Rock, Texas for their support in her final days.
