Huan Van Nguyen

Mr. Huan Van Nguyen of Austin passed away peacefully on December 29, 2015, at the age of 92. Mr. Nguyen was born on November 7, 1923 in Hanoi, Vietnam. He was educated in Hanoi, he then moved to Saigon, South Vietnam, in 1954 to further his career.

Mr. Nguyen met his wife in Saigon in 1955. They were married in the same year to build a family. They have four sons, Tony, Andy, Sonny and Justin. Mr. Nguyen was a University Professor and then became a High school Principal. He moved from education field to the financial industry as the banker, and then from the Banker to own petroleum distribution industry. Mr. Nguyen and his family migrated to Austin, Texas in 1975.

After all of his much business successes from South Vietnam to Austin, Texas, Mr. Nguyen and his wife had decided to retire in 2000 in this beautiful city.

Mr. Nguyen is survived by his lovely wife and four sons with seven grandchildren and one great grandson.

Visitation for Mr. Nguyen will be on Friday, January 8, 2016, between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Holy Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church in Austin, Texas. Burial will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
